From Vètyè to the World Stage

We know how to rally for Ayiti. What becomes possible when we carry that energy beyond the game?

From the battlefield to the football field, the Haitian spirit calls us together. Our songs, our symbols, and our stories carry a legacy—and a responsibility to keep it alive.

This November, join Haitian Preservation for a special webinar commemorating Batay Vètyè, where football opens the door to a deeper conversation about history, identity, and our collective future.

The pride brings us together. The conversation takes us further.

What happens when the world celebrates Haitian talent but struggles with the revolutionary story behind it? Who gets to decide how we represent ourselves? And how can the passion we bring to supporting our national team help strengthen our communities?

Together, we’ll explore:

• The history behind the pride: Connect the legacy of Vètyè with the ways we express Haitian identity today.
• Our story on the world stage: Examine what sports, uniforms, and cultural symbols reveal about representation and power.
• The strength of collective action: Consider how shared enthusiasm can become sustained support for Haitian communities.
• Your place in the conversation: Bring your questions, memories, and ideas into a community that values our history and our future.

Come with your pride. Leave with deeper understanding and a next step.

Whether football pulls you in, history keeps you curious, or you’re seeking a meaningful connection to Ayiti, there is a place for you in this gathering. Reserve your place early and help us bring the circle together.
